Oh Dear. Yesterdays appeal fell on deaf ears.
Well it seems like Darling wasted his time over the weekend. The first, of many I have no doubt, have made their views known. Read here about council workers voting to strike over higher pay.I guess the rest of the civil servants will be following quickly enough as well as some of the more powerful unions. It'll be up to the private sector to bite the bullet as most won't have the deep pockets of the government. Well, deep albeit empty though.

Seems he's a total waste of time.
Ive a soft spot for Darling. Obviously out of his depth, he always looks to me as if he's about to burst into tears, and for this reason his incompetence is somehow more acceptable than that of arrogant Brown's.

It must be terrible to spend your life striving for a specific post and when you get there it is screwed up and you are just going to be the fall guy. Soul destroying. On the plus side politicians don't have souls so it must just be a tad disconcerting for him. The pension etc. will make up for not having a purpose in life.
