Violent crime moves closer to home.

Well today has been busy. it seems that last night my son got caught up with one of these mindless thugs that we have elected to support and breed in this country.

Some idiot arguing with his girlfriend, ex now, over some male visitors went outside and assaulted the first male he seen. My son. Accusing him of sleeping with his girlfriend and hitting him with a brick. Charming. Where he got a brick from nobody seems to know but I suppose we should be thankful it wasn't a knife.

Of course the police are involved and taking statements, his ex is a witness to the attack.

So I shall keep my eye on this with interest.

Hi Bag,

Hope your son makes a speedy recovery and the piece of shit that attacked him is put away - although no doubt he'll claim mitigating circumtances and be sent on an anger management course or some such bollocks.

Thank you Henry, He seems to have got off lightly considering he was hit by a brick. No major damage, bruises and a deep cut on his shoulder that will heal.

Having read about people getting stabbed and shot for being in the wrong place at the wrong time as he was I find it strange to be relieved that he has only minor injuries.

I think this guy is in trouble now. It sounds like his ex is seeing this as an opportunity to get back at him so she will push it as far as she can in the 'he is a right nutter' statements. I can't say I feel sorry and it willonly be justice if he goes inside.

That's awful! I'm glad he's okay and that there's no major damage.

I hope the guy responsible goes to jail for a long time-- it's totally unacceptable to go around hitting people with bricks.

Ruthie,

The British justice (sic) system doesn't work like that. The police will be filling in endless forms, the CPS will do their level lazy best to try and not take it to court and blame the coppers for not doing their job properly. Meanwhile the scum's brief will be doing all he can to ensure that his client gets off on a technicality and end up doing community service which the scum will end up not doing because their aren't enough supervisory parole officers.

The "Great" in Great Britain is no longer an adjective.

The "their" in the previous post is a type, I do know the difference between there" and "their"
