I'm torn.

I don't know if this is a sign of how we are in a society or how society has made us. Read here.

On the one hand it's something we would all love to do and on the other it looks like a human being, admittedly one working for dark forces, is seriously ill.

As the state clamps down on people we can be sure we will see a lot of the states enforcers as being on the dark side. Of course the armed ones will fare better. For now.

You are right, there are two ways to see it.

One is a sign of the breakdown of social cohesion.
The other is the publc are slowly rosing against officialdom and it's steady march to control our lives.

It's always the poor sucker at the coalface that gets it though.

We as a society are just not geared up for walking away and plotting against the real causes.

One day soon.

I just think that as whole we have become completely apathetic. Dumbing down of the media has a lot to do with it - the great unwashed have been fed a TV diet of such shite for so long that they have been brainwashed into submission. People are no longer capable of thinking for themselves and allow the media to formulate their opinions by proxy.

This is why we lash out so violently and the nearest and easiest target rather than banding together to take down the system. And those that do find it so hard to garner support that it becomes too much like hard work and so give up.

Which is why I like being in France at the moment. I don't understand the language and therefore don't watch much TV and can't get worked up at the French equivalent of Question Time or Newsnight. Ignorance truly is bliss.

Henry, Sounds like you have made a conscious decision to keep away from the UK. After a discussion last night it appears you are not the only one.

If my situation changes I could very well make the same decision. The only thing is I don't see anywhere to go.

I need to start my own country.
