What a surprise. The tax rebels win.
It seems thatNow let me think. Why such a vague statement very very short on facts? Just compensation and in the future as well. Well we can trust them can't we? After all why would they lie? Could it be the polls that are on the 1st May? That seems an important date to the rebels and the announcement came just in time for that. Jolly good timing and how coincidental.
However, I'm of the opinion that come Autumn it will be worked out that we can't afford it or it will be based on a replacement tax of some sort that will be just as bad and as there are no polls around that time the current bunch of rebels will suddenly find they are OK with whatever is proposed. The useless shower of b45^4rds,
I wonder how many people are so thick they will fall for this? After all if an election promise of an EU referendum can safely and legally be ignored, read here, what value can be put on a vague statement like that from a bunch of proven liars?

Henry, Good post. I just find the whole debacle hypocritical. I've my fingers crossed for a total rout but so far the population in the UK has repeatably disappointed me. Could this be the time?
No value at all of course.
James, You are a cynic. Our lords and masters anly mean the best for us. Here is hoping for an exciting, relativly speaking, time on election day.
