Government Project slips again.
It seems that no sooner did the statement come out that we were facing a minimum of 15 years in our new war, read here, that it has now slipped to a couple of decades. Read here for the words from the head of US forces in Iraq, Lt Gen David Petraeus.Ho hum... So like all government projects this one is slipping already. It'll make the cold war look like a walk in the park. At least then we had our freedoms and the costs were not as high. Yet we were potentially in a war with someone who could do us real harm. Now we have a more expensive war against someone who can do us less harm.

I just cannot see how things could be any worse by withdrawing, other than subduing the country so that BIG OIL can start to pump profitably. I mean is there anywhere in the world that is more disastrous as a society than contemporary Iraq.
Well the problem with not looking before you leap is that now we are fallng down a cliff face. We now have to do somethng. If we withdraw they will have won and will be emboldened. If we don't we lose people n a pointless war.
I suggest we just nuke the place.
