Seems David Hicks will only be serving nine additional months for his 'crimes'. read here. So it won't cost Oz all that much. better than seven extra years for Hicks.I was interested in the terms of the plea bargain. As part of the bargain, Hicks also withdrew claims he had been beaten by US forces after his capture in Afghanistan and that he had been sedated before learning of the charges against him.
How convenient. Withdraw the accusations or we will keep you here without trial for the rest of your life. We could even execute you. Or we will let you go but you must promise not to slander us. A binding agreement with no pretence of justice.
What a farce. Now we have no real idea of this guys guilt or not.
He won't be the last either.
