Finally something they can take to court.
I was reading this about the prisoners at Guantanamo Bay plotting and attacking the guards. Seems they were winning at one point too. Read more here.On the plus side the US finally has something they can take to court. It must show how desperate they are that they were willing to do this. Let's face it they must have known that escape was out of the question. They clearly wanted to kill the guards and get killed in the process. After all who wants to spend the rest of their lives in a hellhole.

Apparently there was a passenger jet at Gitmo around the same time- 16 Saudi prisoners were being released home. It's been suggested that this could have been an attempted break out.
Interesting. After years in captivity, no arms and little forward intelligence only the most hopeful would have thought that attempt would have met with success.
I still would put it down to just hitting back but maybe they had higher expectations of their skills.
